The detail that matters to me is the size: 816 billion parameters and a 1 million token context window, on a Mac. A popular Chinese AI video tool has released its 4.0 model, and the number is 30 seconds of video in one generation. The company says it has worked on the two things that usually break, fast movement and complex camera moves, so a shot that follows a person or orbits them keeps its motion and framing. A Korean feature director already used it for a short film shown at Busan. I'd try this today if you make serial clips and are tired of stitching short pieces together.
YouTube Music is now labelling songs made with generative AI, in the app and on the website, and the same label is coming to YouTube soon. I think it looks a lot like the tag Google began putting on AI-generated videos earlier this year, and Google says it is not banning AI music. If you make AI tracks for your own clips, this matters because the badge is on its way to your uploads too, so I'd say it first and make it part of the story.
