DxO shipped ViewPoint 6, the newest version of its perspective correction software, and the French company calls it its "most precise version yet". The reason it gives is new AI masking. Masking decides what gets straightened and what gets left alone, and that has always been the fiddly bit of fixing a leaning building or a tilted product on a table. Adobe's Lightroom mobile app, on iOS, iPadOS and Android, can now open closed eyes in a photo with a single tap, using generative AI. The detail I like: you do not have to go looking for it. Google is bringing Personal Intelligence to Gemini in Android Auto and cars with Google built-in. The awkward question beats the market update
A financial advisor wrote to me last week with a feed full of charts. His question was whether AI could help him post more often, because he was doing a market recap every Monday and a tip on Thursday and getting almost nothing back. I looked at the account.
